[#2348] Leak Club for Leakies or Leak users Wow.... Another Sifu emerged......! "上週末做魔童,現已變身如此(ST20),但今日於鴻光找不到Sprague 50uf 電溶,各位有否好介紹." You can try Big Chu. I have a few Sprague 47uf (those in Ginger's one with red band) if you need them very desperately. I got them sometime ago in Max. Wonder if it had run out of stock. Or you may also try other quality caps.

[#2351] Leak Club for Leakies or Leak users Have put back the main board onto the chassis but found that the voltage difference between C4 & C6 (the 0.25uf TCC coupling) becomes bigger. Before was 206V vs 195V and 203V vs 198V Now is 208V vs 158V and 210V vs 172V Is it normal for such reading?

[#2352] Leak Club for Leakies or Leak users Patrick, "Before was 206V vs 195V and 203V vs 198V Now is 208V vs 158V and 210V vs 172V" Try these: a) Swap the two tubes between channels to see if the voltage differences go with the particular tubes. One of the tubes 12AX7 tubes could have non-matching between the 2 halves. b) Check if the resistors have drifted in value after they were soldered onto the component broad? This can happen for some unstable A&B resistors and when the soldering process was a bit too long in time. c) +/-10 to +/-20% of voltages of the channels could be regarded as normal for most vintage amps. But of course +/-0 to +/-5% makes you feel happier. Good Luck! r

[#2360] Leak Club for Leakies or Leak users 12AX7 tubes exhanged, but problem still exists.. ---------------------------------------------- Patrick, What do you mean by this? The set of voltages go with the tubes OR fixated at the particular positions in the circuit? Read the steps I posted carefully and experiment with the steps one by one. r

[#2361] Leak Club for Leakies or Leak users "BLACK and RED poles of your multi-metre to GOUND and stage which 0.1 coupled respectively.." And the reading is better if less than 0.5V (my standard).. ------------------------------------------ I am afraid those guys talking about measuring the residual voltages at the grid of the power tube may NOT understand how to. Ask them the question: Why below 0.5V is normal? r
