| [#2787] 回覆(40):Leak Club How many brothers have the LEAK ST20? Check your ST20 if it still has the original 100 ohm 3W power resistor? Big is NOT always better and it is bad in the case of ST20. Don't try to replace it with any 'high-end' expensive power resistors, or your amp lost the built-in self-protection. The 3W resistors generates heat which is just below the threshold of melting point of the solder (焊錫). When the amps draw too much current (e.g. when tubes went bad or when the coupling caps become leaky), this resistor falls off the circuit to protect the transformers! The photo below was taken one day when I found my ST20 did not sing at all without any forewarning. r |
