| [#2877] 回覆(40):Leak Club Long hair good night Actually I am concerning about this The Only Reason I did not rate it Cosmetically a 10 was that the Original Standee 100 Ohm Resistor In the Center Position Was Replaced with a standard 100 Ohm, 10 Watt resistor. In the Leak Family of Amplifiers, These Resistors were Somewhat Prone to Failure and this is not uncommon or horrific, what do u guys think? |

When the resistor runs as hot as it passes the threshold temperature, the resistor will fall off from the circuit. Best to have the original power resistor in the circuit if the original resistor is still accurate in value. High-end 10W, 15W, 30W resistors are over-provided and are NOT suitable. There may be slight sonic improvement/deteriation with the over-provided resistors, but I don't recommend the tweak. r Note: In the picture below, the power resistor automatically fell off from the circuit when 15% extra current passed through the 100 ohm resistor in the case of my LEAK Stereo 20 due to a bad tube which can kill the output and power transformers!  |
