| [#3501] Leak Club Today we auditioned Leak 12.1 & 25 and Eico HF60. IMHO, Leak 25, even with EL34 high metal bases, is inferior to Eico HF + Mullard EL34 xf1s. Eico HF60 is more all-round than Leak 12.1. 12.1 is so brilliant in mids and highs. However, when coming across complications and explosions, personally I would prefer HF60 to 12.1. Besides, I must point out that the price of HF60 is just 40% of that of 12.1. We didn't try HF60 with EL34 high metal bases. I guess 12.1 may lose its edge unless VT75s are used. JL |
