| [#3699] Karajan and Gilels plays Beethoven PIano Concerto3 Copied from a Taiwan website: 卡拉揚（Herbert von Karajan）在正規的錄音裡，灌錄的貝多芬鋼琴協奏曲錄音少之又少，全集部分僅與魏森伯格（Alexis Weissenberg）在EMI合作過，正規錄音方面，有與紀雪金共演的第四號、第五號，為艾森巴哈協奏的第一號。而現場錄音方面，卡拉揚似乎偏好第三號，1957年與鬼才顧爾德（Glenn Gould）在柏林留下共演紀錄，1980年則與波里尼（ Maurizio Pollini）合作，地點也是在柏林（註）。而介於前述兩場音樂會間的1976年8月15日，卡拉揚有了更難得一見的合作對象。（  |

| [#3702] 回覆 Maurice Gendron Eric, I've been there for many times. They've moved to the this place for just a month. The present shop is a lot bigger than the old one. Mr. Lai is a nice guy and he knows classical music very well, esp. music written for the violin and cello . |

| [#3713] Annie Fischer Hello Tanuski, I had remained quite active in this virtual reality until four days ago, when a four-letter word ("work") began to keep me incommunicado. It's a pleasure to have you back. The bulk of my Fischer CDs are from Hungaroton and EMI, while several others are from BBC and Palexa. Among my twenty-three "Hammerklavier", hers is my top choice. Her Beethoven cycle (Hungaroton), though recorded when she was in political distraught in communist Hungary, is her greatest legacy. I also adore her Schubert (Hungaroton), Mozart (EMI), Liszt (Hungaroton), Schumann (BBC), and Brahms (BBC). Fischer has the rare gift of producing a natural combination of poetry and great intensity of feelings. Whether in her gentle or powerful moments, she strikes a presence which is as formidable as it is intimate. My recommendations: start with her Beethoven sonatas (Hungaroton). Then, get her Schubert No. 21 and Liszt B minor sonata on Hungaroton (in one CD). Her Mozart nos.20 & 23 concertos with Boult are not to be missed (EMI). For her Schumann, one can't do better than investing in the 79-minute BBC (Legends) BBCL 4141-2 (Kinderszenen, Kreisleriana, and Fantasie in C major). Her Brahms No.3 sonata is found in a 1961 Edinburgh Festival live recording (also BBC). Nine years ago EMI released a 4-CD box-set "Les Introuvables d'Annie Fischer", which should be a convenient starting point for anyone eager to make her acquaintance. One should count himself unlucky if it can still be found. Among friends in this thread, Jonyung is a more serious collector of Annie Fischer than I am. I am sure (s)he should be able to shed more light on recommended Fischer discs. |
