Cheung's DIY 'Williamson' amplification system is so huge and so much generously provided in every espect that it has to occupy a room. Wonderful! But I would wish to hear from Cheung if he have made any modifications to the Williamson amp design and is the KT66 output stage in a pentrode/ultralinear or a triode-wired mode? If it is the former case, the output power could be alike Heathkit W-5M, i.e. 25W. :) -------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- 線路基本上跟威廉遜沒有什麼分別。 Modifications 則是有的，主要在龐大的電源供應方面。 約六、七年前，砌好之後，是並聯推挽，接UL。 用了約兩、三年之後，便將輸出牛換上 Partridge CFB 5K，仍是並聯推挽，接UL。這次，各方面包括力水在內均三級跳• 數月後，便將輸出膽減半，換上 Partridge CFB 6.6K，UL推挽。這次由有並聯到無並聯，力水和舞台均受顯著不良影響。 約年半前，由 UL 改為 triode，將輸出牛換上 Partridge CFB 10K。這次由 UL 改為 triode，發覺音色、力水和舞台均沒有什麼影響，有別於尋常結果。 |
