| [#3894] 古典迷飲茶吹水會III Sorry I was in SZ and had to give the meeting of kindred spirits a miss. I think kh's sabotaged his CD setup again to ensure that there is no reference. Truth must be that he doesn't want to admit to himself that his much cheaper CD setup sounds better, not to say A WHOLE LOT quieter than his generally very noisy LPs, played on a very expensive turntable. I think I'm not the only one harboring this theory...EVERYONE wants to hear how a CD sounds at his place. Next time if I attend I shall bring my own CDP. |

Some people consider Bach's music a `chicken soup for soul', I tend to think that Bach's music is a good tranqulizier or a even a good sedative, it will calm you down before sleep. In the booklet, some musicologist in 1800s calm that this piece of music was the greatest ever despite the presence of Mozart and Beethoven, it is not difficult to understand why as the music make you see the heaven open, if Mozart's music are the music of heaven, then Bach's music must be the word of God, it is majestic and authoritative. Gardiner's team played with a clean and transparent `historically informed' style, vividly captured by DG in digital sound. | [#3905] Bach's Mass in B CKM, Bach's Mass in B minor was considered one of the greatest piece of music man ever written. It can cleanse your spirit and sooth your soul. Other versions by Klemperer and Marriner also worth listening. |

They carry several small European labels such as Aliavox, Alpha, Naive...... which I reckoned worth exploring.
