[#3971] Up grade CKM, These words are not mine. They came from Harry Pearson of TAS and should read: "If it does not sound right, keep moving your speakers". I ended up moving the speakers every evening instead of listening to music..... >_<

Watt 3 + Puppy 2, 33K !' George, forget the Wattpuppy3, go straight to 6 or 7 instead. 6 or 7 are totally different animals. Their bass are much better. I did some modifications on the cross-over of one supertweeter, the results took me by surprise.

[#3977] Analogue vs Digital Not only we music lovers and audiophiles struggle with DIGITAL, even doctors and their patients do!!!! http://www.nytimes.com/2008/04/10/health/10scan.html?ex=1365566400&en=87f526d72906537e&ei=5088&partner=rssnyt&emc=rss I think the doctors don;t know anything about JITTER in radiology...

[#3978] Wand and BURIED VIOLINIST Bottom of pic is the dirt-cheap Nonesuch pressing of Gunther Wand's Missa Solemnis I mentioned before. What's even more interesting is the name above. Hey, I have seen and ignored this ancient Vivaldi LP many many times before. But the other day I suddenly noticed LOLA BOBESCO's name is buried there and I bought it for a song. The orchestra is really dull, but BOBESCO's playing is, as expected, fluid and classy. She's liek Ida Haendel, a natural. ![]()

[#3979] Colorful Soloists Unfortunately no pic of Bobesco in her LP. In case you wonder why Piatigorsky has lost color, this is the mono LM counterpart of Living Stereo. Someone has the idea of monochrome, rather smart, though not accurately reflecting the sound and playing, excellent... ![]()

[#3982] Potpurri I have always liked ballet music. And ballet conductors, they know how to make music! Here you shall find: --Only one bona fide ballet conductor. --4 ballets. --3 audiophile LPs. One expensive, one less so, and one an imposter of an expensive one. But my versions are ceratinly not expensive, nor "first editions"... --2 Club Francais di Disques recordings. One is now on Testament CD, the other on "Great Conductors" Last but not the least, there's a hommage to kh33 here... ![]()

[#3988] Berlioz Listened to Berlioz's Symphonie fantastique last night, the recording by Denon was in perfect balance and vivid, the performance by Inbal was objective, lacking last ounce of fire and passion. Enjoyable anyway. ![]()
