| [#4118] Philips Super Best 100 Many thx, trazom. This latest CD includes Sonatas Nos. 3-5 only. In terms of sound quality, I doubt whether it will surpass Philips's 2-CD set from the "50 Great Recordings". The cover photo used is the same as Philips's first CD edition of the five pieces by the 2Rs (412 256). |

| [#4123] Bach Concertos - David Oistrakh gs: I agree with you. The Beethoven Romances are plain boring. Yaaawn...But I think the pieces themselves are lesser drawer Beethoven too, though I think Oistrakh's fat style is not suitable for Beethoven. Even the Bach's are too fatty to me. But they are still great, which proves Bach's are the greater works. That said, I have never been an Oistrakh fan. |

| [#4124] Geza Anda Trollope: Indeed Geza Anda is a GREAT pianist. I buy everyone of his LPs and used CDs that I come across, usually cheaply. Much under-rated. The DG set is tempting, though I probably have 3/4 of it. There are also a lot of great stuff on TESTAMENT. |

Have beautiful scenery, nice music, charming singers, and wonderful songs. You can feel why this beautiful HW repeatedly said she is so proud of her small, remote country in the Southern hemisphere. I really hope I can share this feels in our homeland products. |

| [#4136] Geza Anda Many thx, doctorjohn, for your advice last Saturday on Anda on Testament, two of which I bought this afternoon: Beethoven's sonatas nos. 7, 14 "Moonlight", & 28 Liszt's sonata in B minor etc They are all mono recordings (London, 1954-1958), but it's a pleasure in this great pianist's presence. The Liszt's sonata is a profound reading which gives me a glimpse of a whole life in a non-stop half-an-hour scene. |
