此外,Bronfman(Sony SK 60689)、Prunyi(Naxos 8.550233)、Pletnev (Virgin 雙CD 7243 5 61636 2 1)、Ashkenazy(Decca 466 562-2)、Tverskaya(Opus111 OPS 30-304)、Rachmaninoff彈十一月(Telarc CD-80491)及Cliburn彈三月(Philips Great Pianists 462 699-2)。 ![]()

[#5666] Handel Violin Sonatas Any other recommended CD on Handel Violin Sonatas? Just listened a track on the 3rd movement of his Sonata no.1 in A major, op.1. Performed by Josef Suk, pretty beautiful.

[#5669] Polonaise-fantaisie - Ashkenazy I've just A-B blind-tested twice the Polonaise-fantaisie, op.61 in these two CDs. On the left: Recorded in the 1970s in London, playing time 13'56 Decca (Double Decca) 452 167-2: ADD The recorded sound is a tiny bit larger than life, but the effect is very pleasing -- maybe that's because Ashkenazy plays with great flair, so that the combined effect is quite simply glamorous. On the right: Recorded in 1999 in Finland, playing time 12'42 Decca 466 708-2: DDD (also available on SACD) The recorded sound is more delicate and "accurate"; while Ashkenazy's playing seems to be more thoughtful and mindful of details. Mind you, he's functioning with all his old energy and radiance. There is no lack of poetry, and he's certainly not indifferent; but we have a mellow pianist here. My breakfast has been prolonged but what a nourishing way to start a day! And a very good morning to you all. ![]()

[#5672] Handel Violin Sonatas By the way, this is my Josef Suk under Supraphon label. The same recording is also under Denon which sounds better because of different vinyl material and "remastered" via PCM.
