| [#6069] ETSC & ETRC & ESAC Members (44) Hercules 兄, I only know that all the Philips CD issued in Japan used "超盤" logo were converted in Bitstream (but most of them were Analogue recording) which around 160 items (some are later issued as Philips DUO series which you still can be found NEW in HMV, Time Square large CD chain stores). I do not have information on hand whether there is any Philips Digital LP recorded by Bitstream System. I have to check against my Digital Classic Series LPs or CDs to see if there is any technical information provided. Up to my experience, the Bitstream was introduced by Philips upon their new CD player launched (i.e. CD850?? launched around 1990??) if Philips Digital LP recorded by Bitstream System, it should have been very rare. |

| [#6072] ETSC & ETRC & ESAC Members (44) the Bitstream CDP should be appeared around early 1990's, at the time of recording company started to dump LP out of the door, my Philips Catalogue on hand on 1994/95 already no more listing LP (even cassette), and my latest Philips Digital LP is 1987 Kramer plays Bach Violin Concerto. I dunno at the age between 1987-1990 the day between LP dying and bitstream goes public, any recording made in-house with bitstream or not.... Actually I quite like the sound from bitstream remastered CD in early age, if there are any bitstream LP, i would like to hear how it sound. |
