| [#606] ETSC & ETRC & ESAC Members (44) Tino, No problem. On Saturday, I took out the Rossini Strings Sonatas, cleaned all sides with Keith Monk Record Cleaning Machine. Hereunder is my visual & listen test on it:- 1) All sides are bared with miminal scuffs but with shiny surface that appeared the LPs are not played much; 2) About two or three ticks in Side One, Side Three that can be heard and one to two occasionally very soft ticks in each sides that hardly be heard; 3) One or two spots with slightly surface noise. For visual grade, I only rate it A- but for listening, despite of the above, it should be A- to A. The violin tone is silky and airy. The cello and double-bass are full of body and authority. I then took up my first pressing Rossini CD (a bitstream production in 1991), the only part the CD can be won is "no ticks". You can still consider to take or not to take it. Cheers. |
