[#6824] Leak Club for Leakies or Leak user Pang I would say WU can let the seller get your money safe and fast. It is highly unlikely that a third party, instead of the seller, can take the money. What worries you is that whether the seller will send you the item having received your money. You can ask the seller to let you TT the money to his bank account direct. One must let the bank have some real info so as to open an account. The service charge of WU is no cheaper than that of TT. I guess what you are thinking of is the buyer's protection. You must consider if it is safe to buy from a seller -- will he send you the item as described? There is NEVER gurantee of this sort. Any eBay buyer is taking some sort of risk. The eBay compensation is very trivial, $150 at the most. The situation of some other on line market sites is even worse. I only deal with sellers with hundreds of positive feedback. I never believe things which are too good to be true. Several months ago, a guy offered to sell me a nice pair of Leak TL12.1 at five hundred pounds. I don't have to continue with the story. Justs my two cents JL

[#6834] Leak Club for Leakies or Leak user New silicon rectifiers are clipped in parallel - thus to reduce the impedance of the rectifiers - resultant voltage is 291V. ![]()

[#6837] Leak Club for Leakies or Leak user These componnets have drifted value. UK made vintage resistors are equally as bad as UK made PIO coupling capacitors? It seems - 130 ohm became over 300 ohm! 4.7K became over 30K! Woo! ![]()

[#6843] Leak Club for Leakies or Leak user I was told Rogers made KT66 amplifier before, another killer as like as 12.1 : ) ----------------------------------------------- Yes, there is common place, at least: Both LEAK and ROGERS used a tube socket as the connector with its matching preamps - woo! But Cadet III, the socket is a B9A small 9-pin but to accommodate a) 6.3V filament supply, b) 300V DC supply, c) R channel input, d) L channel input, and e) Two groundings. DIFFICULTY in making an B9A adaptor! ![]()
