| [#7127] My CD System Denon DCD-S10 + Audio Note DAC-ZERO + Monarchy Audio DIP (Digital Interface Processor) ---------------------------------------------- I always posted my tube amplifiers at R33 and seldom talked about my CD system. When I took these photos, I was very upset as my CD player sudeenly could not read some of my CDs, mainly my Classical CDs from Decca & DGG. I have no turntable. If my CD system not function, I could only listen to tuner :-( I am very worried. I suspected that my CD player could not read my foreign made classical CDs as I had listened to most of the China CD. Could this be the reason? But they are all liscenced CDs :-(  |

| [#7128] My CD System My Denon CD player was built like a tank, a super tank. It never jumped when CD was played. Functioned extrememly well before. Mine is the first generation. In fact I have two before. The first I bought in 1996, costed me $7,400 when the price dropped down from approx $9,800. I bought my second one with $1,500. This second hand was even more cleaner. I put it in my bedroom. When my DVD player came I sold it at $2,200. earned my first bucket of gold, i.e. $800 : ) I still think I should keep it :-(  |

The Audio Note DAC Zero ($699) uses a 24-bit/96 kHz DAC-Zero processor. The analog uses a single 6111WA miniature valve which is claimed to last approximately 100,000 hours! The matching transport ($799) as seen on top includes a wireless remote control and offers a 75 ohm digital output. Matching structure is the M-Zero line level pre-amp. The M Zero preamplifier ($599) as seen in the middle also uses the 6111 WA tube and offers four inputs plus a tape out. Two sets of preamplifier output are included for bi-amplification. The bottom pieces are the P Zero monoblock power amplifiers ($1,199 pair) uses two ECL882 tubes per unit for a total output of 8 watts. |
