[#7564] Leak Club for Leakies or Leak user Hi drwkng, I live in Pineview, phase 2, above tennis courts, up the hill. 6463, look like a strong tube with low internal resistance and reasonable high gm, should be quiet enough for phono. Too bad I don't have any. If purely judging from data, ECC88 is still a good tube for small signal amplification. Anyway, I don't particulaly enjoy playing around with different tubes for a slight change in sound. I am sure you know what I mean. It's endless, impossible to get solid evidence and very system dependent. Lately, I am more into tonearm, cartridge and turntable combinations for different type of music replay. You may have two choices in hand - one expensive and the other free.

a) Buy a genuine M Cap directly from the M Cap manufacturer through its website. Cut off the genuine and the "M Cap" bought at SZ. Compare their internal.

b) Send a high resolution photo of the "M Cap" to the German manufacturer to ask for their comments.

I don't want to spend my money on the cables, however I like trying different capacitors. I just ask Jensen to quote me some Jensen copper tube capacitors :)

For the MCap, I also ask the new developed SILVER / GOLD capacitors from germany : )
