| [#741] Western Electric amps and 西電胡 Mr Ng,the coupling cap value in the WE106 preamp can alter the sound, I suggest you to try other values, use only 40's WE oil caps,those made in the 60's sucks. |

| [#749] My new toy - 106C 如果接通電源,而未將分體電源線接上,摸落個梳結處咪電親人 相反裝起106處,就唔會電親人 ------------------------------------------- 水胡兄, I understand there is a safety issue on the male connector on the power supply end, My connecting cable usually never leaves the power supply unit, the power unit ground is connected to the power input ground so it drops B+ voltage fast after it turn off, in turn that is the connector I have at the moment. |

It is also understand Western Electric made the best components/parts during the WWII or 40's the only exception was tubes and speakers. I'm running out of the 40's caps so I have to substitute with the 60's, any way this still far better than any modern cap you can find. |
