I also want to by pass the the switch. I have the same problem. I selected an easy method. I I used a teeth stick and stuffed it under the switch to make a tight contact :=(

When I am in HK next week, I will show you how to bypass the switch. It only requires two wires and a solder iron.

I have a few hours spare before I catch the flight to HK, so I have taken a few photos of my current system. I am not trying to poison anybody like John K :) , but collecting Leak amps can be very addictive. I lost my interest for a few years, now I am back to my hobby.

My Leak "stack". You can see what I mean by not having any room for ESL57? Som flea size speakers are fine for me. Even the ATC SCM12 are too big.

In the last photo, I forgot to mention the pre amp at the back of the Leak Stereo 60 is my new toy, a EAR 834L line pre amp. Its gain is a bit too high, but at least it is very quiet, unlike my previous valve pre which is a Quicksilver line pre amp. The Quicksilver was so noisy that I could hear the hiss from the TL12.1 rather than the music!

Now I like to introduce the AVI Neutron III speakers, the LS3/5a beater :) I try not to publish this picture in the LS3/5a thread because some LS3/5a fans will kill me. This is a LEak thread, so I think I am alright here. The Neutrons have lovely and clear midrange, probably because very expensive Scanspeak tweeters are used.

If you could let me know when you will be meeting John et al and if you don't mind me joining, I can bring my new passive preamp for you all to try. I think it matches Leak very well though I haven't tried it on my TL/25+ yet; as all Leak power amps are quite sensitive.
I only received it yesterday and I plugged it in the McIntosh MC240 twin mono port today, which is very sensitive, and it blew the Audio Note M3 away. None of the dynamic is lost and all the musicality is there.

Would love to know more about your EAR preamp.
I read the "Stereophile" today about the EAR 912 preamp and interested to note that it got an output impedance of 600 ohm. I am looking for one which will suit my Maihak V73.

The only thing I know about Leak is it is a classic brand. I have a pair of spare Roger L3/5A, which I want to set up in my bedroom. Not sure if Leak is a good choice. Can someone tell me:

What so good about Leak ?
Which model suitable for my Roger ?
What is the price range ?
Where is the dealer/shop ?
