| [#8422] Rafael Kubelik的演奏德佛札克第九號交響曲《新世界》實況錄音 這張Orfeo出版的德佛札克第九號交響曲《新世界》,是捷克名指揮 Rafael Kubelik (1914-1996)1980年指揮巴伐利亞廣播交響樂團的實況演出,它與著名的1973年Kubelik的錄音室版 (DGG) 有很多相似之處。兩者同樣強調節奏,以此保持旋律線條的流暢。即使在慢板樂章,Kubelik也像1973年那樣「自發性」地指揮,在最後的重複段落,甚至讓小號暫停。 Kubelik 的另一個特點是他的專橫的力度處理,在慢板樂章的開端,極力凸顯銅管聲音。類似的做法也在錄音室版中有所體現(樂團是柏林愛樂),但巴伐利亞廣播交響樂團更自然、真實,這要歸巧騤蚢峇儥瓾n部的特殊風格。 Kubelik的這個《新世界》交響曲錄音來自廣播電臺的檔案,儘管動態範圍有些Compression,但它提供了自然的音響平衡和逼真的現場效果。 在德佛札克的弦樂小夜曲中,Kubelik則傳達了一種特殊的感染力,圓舞曲和詼諧曲中尤為動人。巴伐利亞廣播交響樂團的弦樂組提供了輕快的節奏動力。然而,大音樂廳讓演出的聲音效果偏瘦。但它仍是一場可讓人獲得美妙享受的演出,剛好與前面的交響曲熱演形成對比。 ![]() |

| [#8423] Carlos Kleiber 指揮柏林愛樂的傳奇錄音 這位不出世的音樂天才 , 每一次演出都能令樂迷瘋狂 , 登台演出和錄唱片都是同行中最少的 , 但也依然能夠保持最崇高的地位和口蜱 , 這也是別的指揮家永遠沒法做得到的成就. 小克萊巴 (Carlos Kleiber) 指揮維也納愛樂、柏林愛樂和芝加哥交響樂團的音樂會都令樂迷瘋狂。維也納愛樂、芝加哥交響樂團的錄音,先前都見識過了,至於柏林愛樂,近來則拜Memories所賜,得以「瘋狂」一下。 1989年3月9日,小克萊巴首次客席柏林愛樂,演出韋伯《魔彈射手》序曲、莫札特第36號交響曲及布拉姆斯第二號交響曲。雙方第二度搭檔則是1994年 6月28日,地點同樣在柏林愛樂音樂廳,曲目方面,《魔彈射手》序曲換成《柯里奧蘭》序曲,莫札特第36號換成33號交響曲。值得一提的是,1994年這場音樂會,是小克萊巴與柏林愛樂的絕響。 Memories所出版的CD是1994年版,1989年版根據資料顯示,只有莫札特第36號有留下錄音紀錄。Memories這份傳奇演出很精彩,聽起來應該是私人錄音。 ![]() |

| [#8424] Maurice Gendron 在The Early Years 法國大提琴家 Maurice Gendron (1920-1990)1960年代的錄音,1994年出現在 Philips The Early Years系列,3CD碟裝收錄舒伯特Arpeggione Sonata(阿貝鳩奈奏鳴曲)、貝多芬大提琴變奏曲集、德步西、佛瑞大提琴奏鳴曲及一些小品集。為他伴奏的是作曲家兼鋼琴家Jean Fran蓷ix(1912-1997),Fran蓷ix自己的作品,也收錄在這套CD裡。小品集則由Peter Gallion擔任鋼琴伴奏。 ![]() |

| [#8425] Kondrashin與馬勒交響曲 1981年,Kyril Kondrashin(1914-1981)與北德廣播交響樂團最後演出的馬勒第一號交響曲,充分表現出他做為馬勒指揮者的才能。而他殘存在舊蘇聯的馬勒演奏的足跡,去年以舊蘇聯 Melodiya音源remaster,以自家廠牌的形象登場。 當年東歐的馬勒演奏與西歐的指揮者們,展現出不同的形貌,尤其聽Kondrashin詮釋的第5號、第6號、第7號,可以發現其中的差異點。特別是第6號《悲劇》那種異樣的緊迫感,讓聽者留下強烈的印象。Kondrashin在 Melodiya留下不完整的馬勒交響曲「半成品」,缺第二號和第八號,他現存出版的錄音中,也沒有這兩曲。 ![]() |

Can anybody tell me why Tognetti had the entire orchestra standing up, except the cellos,to play Vaughan William's Fantasia on a Theme by Thomas Thallis? ------------------------------------------------------- Cpsjj: After asking my insider friend who works for HKPO, he told me that the reason of the entire orchestra standing up to play Vaughan William's Fantasia on a theme by Thomas Tallis is because Sir Vaughan Williams intended to let the players standing up for playing the pieces as a kind of respect and tribute towards first Anglican Archbishop of Canterbury, Matthew Parker. So this has been an ongoing practice to play this chamber work with pleasing melodies. As far as I know, some musician and conductor also like this standing way of playing music such as Elliot Gardiner, Gidon Kremer (if you have ever watched his latest DVD playing mozart sinfonia concertante K364, so a tradition instead of novation! george1977 |

| [#8434] Mozart concerti dyquem: Actually I don't really mind most pianists playing Mozart. The piano concerti are my favorites and I at least pay equal attention to the orchestra anyway. However, it'd be hard not to notice mannerisms, at least what deviates from what one's perception of the norm is, even if the "norm" has become more complex (period practice etc). On that note, I listen to a large number of pianists, ranging from Ashkenazy to Zacharias. Many versions of the same work would well serve as the only copy one has. With some performers it instead would be hard NOT to notice the performer rather than Mozart. Glenn Gould is such a case (and I don't like him here). I doubt you can not notice him. Same with the orchestra. In the Serkin recordings, Abbado is a little too forceful for me. In general, I'd be happy to stick with something like Casadesus/Szell. |
