The fact is Eastern Electric, with their own design, has made their way into the EU market. It is an honour of HK hifi lovers. We have been quite well-known for tweaking and fine tuning overseas equipment but seldom come up with really good circuit design and made the way to export market. It is the hifi lovers who give the reputation. I remember many years back Hi Fi & Record Review used JR149 as front page and claimed it to be better than LS3/5a, Spendor BC1, even ESL57. Now 3/5a is a legend. My friend urges me to sell my pair of 3/5a to him for months. He didn't bother to take a glimpse at the 149 at my place, not to mention serious auditioning. |

| [#8676] Leak Club for Leakies or Leak user Eastern Electric amps have an excellent reputation in UK because of its sound and superb build quality. I don't read UK hi fi magazines very often. Hi Fi World and Hi Fi News rate products from Eastern Electric, Shangling and Consonance highly, even though the prices are usually 2 to 3 times higher than HK price. Members from UK audio forums like zerogain and pinkfishmedia rate the Minimax pre amp as one of the best available. I am pleased to see that a HK electronic designer can be so successful internationally. I hope there will be more talented entrepreneurs like Alex in the near future. Regards Hon |

However, there are instances where a good product get featured as editorial. In this instance, I strongly believe that Eastern Electric has managed to win the hearts of the magazines to be able to appear in the front cover. EVen though I am not from Hong Kong, I am proud that Eastern Electric's product has made it to the front cover! Do you have any idea how difficutlt it is to have a product appearing in foreign magazines front cover? without the use of celebrities. Have a big heart and don't live life in such a cynical manner where you question or doubt everything in a negative manner. |
