| [#8747] Leak Club for Leakies or Leak user ＞Is the phono stage of Leak pre-amp any good? I never try this myself. Did you use it with MM or MC + step-up transformer? Timtube, I'm not talking about the Leak preamp. I'm talking about the Minimax phonoamp which someone 'stepped' on. No offence intended but the TT setup in Vintage Sound just could not explore the full potential of the phonoamp. You know Mr. Lee who is using AN M7-line + Shindo Sinhonia + Roksan TMS + Watt 7. He bought the Minimax because he chased after me to sell him my M7 tube silver with phono built in and I recommended him to buy the Minimax until I'm itchy to replace my preamp in the future. He is now so happy with the Minimax phono with his M7-line that he never chase after me again. BTW he did borrow many phonoamps and tried them with the M7-line but he found the Minimax phono sounding best in his setup. |
