| [#8948] Leopold Ludwig的柴可夫斯基第五號交響曲首度CD化 Leopold Ludwig（1908-1979）與卡拉揚同年出生，他與 Gilels 在EMI灌錄貝多芬鋼琴協奏曲，使其名聲不置於被後世遺忘。Leopold Ludwig戰前活躍於維也納國立歌劇院。戰後則遊走東、西柏林的歌劇場和音樂會，並擔任漢堡歌劇院音樂監督，他的指揮領域很廣，主要以歌劇為主。 今年也是Leopold Ludwig百年冥誕，Denon Eurodisc將他錄於1960年的柴可夫斯基第五號交響曲首度CD化，對探索Leopold Ludwig的指揮藝術，多了一些重要線索。此外，他與Bamberg的貝多芬第九號錄音，也將在10月登場。  |

| [#8949] Rachmaninoff's Sonata Op.2 No.2 and Op. 19 for piano and cello . Tonight , at City Hall Theatre, watched 2 local artists, Deborah Wong and William Tsui, playing above in the second half. Very enjoyable. Audience about 80%+ full. Many young children came. First half, a bit boring for me: piano solo of Chopin Op.61, Rachmaninoff Op 23 No.6, Op. 21 no. 5, Scriabin Op 8 Op 45 etc. Ticket price is very affordable. $80 full adult fare. Support local artists and support tax revenue being used upon these kind of activities. |

| [#8955] Karl Bohm 的貝多芬交響曲九大詮釋 貝姆 (Karl Bohm) 的貝多芬交響曲九大詮釋,樂句 (Phrasing) 語法帶有正宗的德奧血統,速度中規中矩而又不至於死板到像在打拍子, VPO也保持著一定的水準. 這套ㄧ直是我用來比較用的 Benchmark...實在想不透為什麼沒有受到DGG的青睞,至今沒有發行過國際版全集. (現在想想還真慶幸當年先把法國版買了下來,個人覺得雖然是法國版,但是聲音還是比後來的國際版 Originals來的自然些(第六號交響曲)。 DG在CD時代早期推出廉價系列—Resonance，其中有這張Karl Bohm (1894.8.28-1981.8.14）與維也納愛樂灌錄的貝多芬第七號交響曲，它來自兩者合作的貝多芬交響曲全集，在DG日版、法版推出前，樂迷難得找得到 Karl Bohm的貝多芬交響曲錄音，出版在DG的國際發行裡。 最近日版 SHM-CD reissue 翻製的 Bohm指揮維也納愛樂演奏第六號交響曲 "田園" ，聲音比較精煉細緻，噪音明顯減少!有 detail 但好似缺少濃濃的 analogue 味，似乎 noise shaping 有一點點過火!  |
