| [#9145] Leak Club for Leakies or Leak user John is right the Mullard 12ax7 flashes when power on. I was told that in some circuit design, the flashes can scare you off and quicky switch off the amp :) All my Mullard 12ax7 flashes when power on, I will be more worry if it doesn't flashes :( Ace |

| [#9161] Leak Club for Leakies or Leak user The prefix number, 12, in "12X4" stands for the filament voltage, i.e. 12V filament. X4 stands for its design characteristics. So, 12X4 is a 12V version of the 6X4 rectifier tube. The "identical" is 6X4 (and 6X4's identicals) but you amp must be modified to a 6V rectifier filament supply. See the search from the Duncan's website: 6X4 Substitutes Close or identical CV493, CV8203, CV8223, CV8237, EZ90, U78 Different rating or performance 6063 Different filament voltage 12X4 In short, you can only buy 12X4. It should not be difficult to find in eBay. |

| [#9163] Leak Club for Leakies or Leak user Mung, Chu Kee at 3/F, Tak Fat, has all sorts of WE cables. How thick is it good? Well it depends on how long you need. If you need quite long cable, say over 20 feet per side, perhaps the middle thickness is suitable. If only 10 feet or so, the thinest one is good. The thickest one should NOT be bought. |
