| [#87] Western Electric amps and 西電胡 The power supply design dictates the sound quality of this preamp. WE205D excels the WE274A in every aspect including controlling power over the spk system. Today we were able to further elevate the performance by adding a WE choke 71A(connected in parallel to yield a 5-6 Henry across it) immediately after rectification followed by a WE109A to complete the smoothing process.I know this is crazy, even Mr Wu said so, but the sound coming out from this preamp says the contruary. |
