Ocean,

DP-75 ( of 1994 ),
Accuphase first time uses MMB 20 bits D/A Converter
for its high-end integrated CD player.
8 chips mounted on one channel, total with 16 chips.
Net weight of 42.6 lbs.
The sound was so sweet, smoothness and more musical
as I heard it in 1996. ( Second Hand $29,000 in 1996 ).
After 11 years and because of Digital Player,
So, I think $18,000 will be more attractive.
Just last week, I found New DP-500 in second hand shop
( mongkok ) for $23,000 only.
New DP-500 ( MDS++ Type D/A converter ).
Accuphase newly develop drive mechanism.
For best results, uses new DP-500 of 24 bits to play with
new recording CD.
If you got a lot of old recording CD, then DP-75 of 20 bits
will plays it very well.
Have a taste for DP75 or DP500 ?

Hi, Ocean:

DP-500 (of 2006) is 100% a pure CD Player (Not SACD Player).

DP-75 (of 1994) for over ten years, You need to think about its
not lifetime pickup lens ( Optical Head ).
If you bought DP-75, you should order a new laser lens through
Dah Chong Hong for better results.

No matter how, enjoy your music thru Accuphase CD player.

Needless to say, I'm 100% Accuphase Fans........................
I mean " Lifetime " !

As a user of DP500 & DC91. i will strongly suggest u go for DP500 directly. DP500 only cost around HKD 26 for a brand new seal box machine.

The result is DP500 take around 80% perforance of DC-91. while DC 91 equiped 16 MMB chip in one channel.

If DP500 compare with DP75, the result may be 50/50. i am not very sure which win machine will win, coz, there are little bit differenlt between MMB dac & MCS++ dac (DC-91 溫柔婉約動人, 線條纖幼細膩 but DP500 偏向冷靜).

In terms of the $$$ factor, DP500 must beat DP75.

By the way long time ago Accuphase claim they will keep the spare part of their machine for 20 yrs(fm the date the production cycle start). but i don't know is it still true now...........

DC-300 ( of 1996 ), Accuphase's first digital pre-amp.
with MMB Type D/A Converter in a single body.
At a net weight of 47.3 lbs, it belongs to High-End Level.
My comment is " Full Of Life & Force ".

If I were you, I try New AAVA Pre Amp.........Why ?
Because DC-300 is not a pure pre-amp.
Also, after DC330 ( 1999 ), no more replacement
model can be found....................................Why ?
Now, All Accuphase's pre-amp are using its newly
designed AAVA volume control with less distortion,
more accuracy and durability....the result was so Musical !
Once listened, it took your breath away......Beware of it !

I don't want to pay $3x,000.00 or more for a decade pre-amp.
Why not I try a brand-new C-2000 ( $3x k ) or C-2410 ( $4x k ) ?
If you ask me, I will tell you that a pre-amp should be up to date .
For example of Full HD TV & HD Ready TV,
I choose Full HD TV means 1080 progressive scanning.

Of course, you may say...........I don't mind

Hi, Everybody.......

I was a newcomer to "Accuphase Fans".
but I' ve been using Accuphase's products for over 10 years.
Needless to say, ........I'm a real, real " Accuphase Fans ".

I've been asking question and answering to you all for nearly
2 months. So funny, I found many fans always looking for
old models and hope for a lower price.
But, the price of a second hand shop mostly not best buy.
Also, distributor's price are unreasonable.
So, Accuphase fans have to face the problem of priced high.

Sometimes you find a dream model in a second hand shop
that making you crazy, so pls don't be a sensible man to
think about best buy or not ......just do it at once.
However, I hope all fans will try update model instead of
some discontinued.
For example the format of DVD video ( 480p & 576p ) and
Blu-ray Disc ( 1080i & 1080p ), I choose Sony Blu-ray
Why ? Because of 1080p, a perfect match with Full HD,

Of course, you may ask me why not I try another brand ?
Sorry, I just want to have such " Accuphase's Sound " and
" A charming appearance............beautiful output meters ".

Well, just for a chat...........take it easy...............man !

unless you are planning to connect DC-300 with digital equalizer like DG28, or with DF-35 frequency divider, there are no points buying this old machine,

I am quite aree all the new modles of accuphase anlog pre-amp are better than the old accuphase models . for example , C2800 better than C280V

E-202是金嗓子生產第一架合併機,打響頭炮由Kensonic Laboratory Inc.出品,它用四對龜殼管,拍得住303X,極有紀念價直的古董機,現在hifido沒有賣,香港二手店也沒有,明顯面板不同203以後型號,瓦數比202還細,所以我估計廠方費盡心思出產202後才編排金仔的高中低系列,我喜歡古董機中之一員.
