| [#11011] Leak Club for Leakies or Leak user What is * stands for in the chart? I can see that EF37/EF36 is preferred over 6J7 and ECC33 is perferred over 6SN7. But is KT66 perferred over EL37? And GZ32 is, of course, perferred over 5U4G as indirectly heated rectifier ensure longer operating life of the output tubes in the amp. But there is not mentioning of U54 or 53KU at all. It does not necessarily mean that they are less preferred by Leak. |

VT75 is just the RAF name for KT66. You can find the same tube of the same structure with the same sound made in the same period can label as "KT66". All we can say is that early black base ST type KT66 always sound better than later GT type KT66. |

And VT75 was changed to CV1075. |

They were used as full bandwidth audio stages in various BBC transmitters. IT DOES NOT HAVE THE STANDARD OUTPUT TRANSFORMER.
