Surprisingly they are all very healthy. I put back a new EZ80 and tested for 8 hours. The transformer is not hot anymore and this sweet singing tuner is back to normal and discharged from hospital.  |

| [#11870] Leak Club for Leakies or Leak user Good morning! CP - I briefly owned a Troughline 3 tuner. Indeed its reception is very stable and sound is good. I still have a Troughline 2 at the moment but it needs relignment. Don't know how to. :) |

Their eyes are very red seeing the active discussions of vintage gears in the forum. Just ignore them and they will fade away just like the gears they used that so called can produce ultra high/low vanish in history. |

Many people has their own taste ,feeling so we need to respect their choices whatever tube or not. We are not the slave of our gear so I don't care what theory to produce high or low frenquency and whether my gear can produce super high or low frenquency. I only know I am happy listen my gear with different kind of music |

| [#11877] Leak Club for Leakies or Leak user Truth can't be defeated, and I don't care who is watching here, those named as "教父" (don't know why the Mafia "黑手黨" get involved in this Hong Kong HIFI web site) or claimed himself as big brother are only business men who make big monies by fooling the audiophiles. Selling one tube gear = lots of protential to sell different brand of tubes to those audiophiles who are fooled by "教父" or big brothers. Simply to say, it s a real big after-sell business of every tube amp. It is too naived to fully believe those reviews or awards generated by any of HIFI magazines in the world, they are doing own business too. No matter it is a 40 years old tube gear or a 2006 version, they don't have any technical different or a big step for the new version, just using fresh components with better cosmetic and perfect selling techniques for new tube gears only. If you can recall and compare with the photos respecting specifications of a 40 yrs tube gear and a 2006 gear (photo is deleted?) posted by Sobilly yesterday, both are using same method to show the frequecy response of a tube amp: 16 - 10kHz +/- 0.1db at full power rate 20 - 100KHz +/- 1.5db at HALF POWER RATE In my understand, all amplifiers, no matter it is tube, solid state or whatever else, MUST use the full power rate of the amp to get the measurement before distortion. WHY USING HALF POWER RATE for 20 - 100KHz for a tube gear? Understand many guys are tube gears fans who had spend $$$$$$$ for their favourite. It is fine if you believe the lie that Tube gears (not the tube itself) could work perfect at 10Hz or 100KHz both showing a nearly fair/good sound wave, PLUS the main point is you enjoy its sound quaility, then go ahead. If you can't get it, you are "未夠班" to use a tube gear. Thank you for all "big brother" and "教父" watching. |
