| [#1222] Western Electric amps and associated equip Ng hing, I totally agree with your assessments of the 2 amps made by Mr Wu, I did bring my 50's 274 and 300B tubes to Mr Wu's workshop to understand how the 86 performs at its full swing, it has everything you describe. Still I have to say,do give the WE348A a try in your 131, you would not regret it even the price of 348A is very high these days. |

| [#1227] Western Electric amps and associated equip Penndan bro, the FP-260 is very good for 44a, 40uf for 205D and 10uf for 102D, you need two for stereo. This FP-260 was manufactured around early 60's, earlier than the other 3. |

| [#1228] Western Electric amps and associated equip Gordan, the N-series Mallory are wax-enclosure type, made around late 40's to mid 50's, normally used in lower HV type applications, unlike the tin type Mallory caps, leakage is common. My oldest Mallory tin HV caps bearing a date code of 1944, no leakage was found, amazing, isn't it. |
