| [#1306] Western Electric amps and associated equip My first pair is buying from US dealer and they are pull off from US radio studio with matched QC code number and year marking. They are early silver plating version, L/R measure +/- 0.2 db and matched at 3.8 ohm. My second pair is buying from WSI Japan, late version with in gray colour and also perfactly matched by WSI. Personally, I feel the tone of silver version is slightly clear and pure than the gray version, but the gray version sounds slightly thicker...! |

| [#1313] Western Electric amps and associated equip Recently, the price of LS3/5A is surprisingly high and Golden Tag Rogers even mark up to around 40K...! Personally, if you are asking me to spend 40K on small vintage speaker, my vote will go to WE755A lor. WE KS-12046 cabinet(speaker system) has very poisoned mid and mid-high range if matched with WE755A (some comes with WE755C)..! Originally, it should also comes with the WE KS-12048 matching trans as well. However, this matching trans is not Western Electric, but Triad...! |
