[#13888] BBC LSU/10 Quote from : http://www.oldsms.co.uk/gear/typeb.php "...In this photo you can also see the LSU/10 monitor (probably the best monitor the BBC ever produced, using a 15 inch Tannoy speaker and a Lorenz tweeter, driven by a 12 watt valve amplifier)" ![]()

[#13889] BBC LSU/10 But I read on some other web page that the 15" driver may not have been made by Tannoy in the production version of the LSU/10. The Tannoy was used in the research but was rejected. The production version used a rare driver made by Parmeko.

[#13896] BBC LSU/10 I am now interested in larger tubes more, even for 94 dB's Tannoy.

[#13900] Leak Club for Leakies or Leak user In my opinion, to drive BC1s, EL84 amps are less poisonous than EL34 or KT66 ones.

[#13901] Leak Club for Leakies or Leak user For BC1, EL34 is always the 1st choice. TL/25+ would be a good one.

[#13906] Leak Club for Leakies or Leak user A world weight Leak lover Gary came to Hong Kong and I acted as a guide to visit the vibtage shops in Choice in Central, Tak Fat Building and the International Mr MAK in Tai Kok Tsui. For my surprise Gary is younger than me. He has a full collection of Leak gears in UK. What is a world weight Leak collector? Gary owns five Leak TL/25A. One pair of opened frame and one pair of closed frame T:/25A. I was stupid to ask him whether he argeed the TL/25A is his most favourite. He told me NOT. Gary told me that the Leak Type 15 was the best Leak tube amplifier. Yes, he has a pair of Type 15 in which famous Partridge tranformers were used and the price of a Type 15 was three times of a single 12.1 in the past.

[#13907] Leak Club for Leakies or Leak user Gary also owns a single Type 30. He is looking for another Type 30. His happy to swap his single 25A if you own a single Type 30. If you have the book Audio Audio. The Type 15 shown in the book belongs to Gary :-)
