[#15795] ETSC & ETRC & ESAC Members (44) Gingers I'm Poor Chan jar! Yes, I'm OM user from film camera (I still hold OM10, OM2, OM40, XA and some manual OM lens 35mm, 135mm, 200mm, 60-200mm). When I discover that OM 4/3 can mount nearly all my stored manual lens, I bought one E-510 two months ago and used it to take the Lotus photo at Shing Moon Valley Garden, Wun Chuen and Kam Tin. Last month, I bought one new E-400 kit set (since it is new, so I will not use it, may be sold it later), last week I bought the E-1 (500mil pixel) and today the OM family added E-300 with battery handle (only HK$1700, very cheap) all the later OM I bought are used Kodak CCD (not the later live-view CMOS).

[#15796] ETSC & ETRC & ESAC Members (44) dd The 200-400mm cost around US$6,999 which US$1,000 more than the Zuiko 95-250mm. So around 6 years is okay for me. But NOT dd, you have just sold one 12.1 can buy it la ^^

This is my "Grass Hut" and my music world. ------------------------------------------------------- The 200-400 VR is definitely a dream lens for all Sports and Birds photography if you have the DX DSLR. Have any FX users used it? If so could you share your experience? ![]() |

[#15802] ETSC & ETRC & ESAC Members (44) BTW, see if you can harvest some bamboo shoots! Very delicious... :-) ----------------------------------------------------- I did but it tasted strangely so I just used those from the tin. I have a few different species of bamboo in my garden but the one I really love to have is the "Buddha Belly" bamboo. I have been trying to locate one in the UK for years but without success :( I need to trim them later as they are now growing out of control. Some even extend to my neighbour !!

[#15807] ETSC & ETRC & ESAC Members (44) Hi lym, I did. I used my MacBook with the Cambridge DacMagic. I must say while it produces good quality sound it doesn't lighten me up though. I think mainly due to its limitation of 16/96 khz. If you are a mainly digital user listening to CD and that will be fine. Nonetheless, if you, like me, listen to vinyl most of the time you may find it frustrating.

---- there are quite a few differences. i think in the way pc handles data error and jitter. when you rip the cd into the pc, you have an option to check whether the cd content is o.k. ripper like eac allows you to reread the disc until there are no errors. and you can check others checksum to confirm your own as well. this would not be possible with a cd player. most cd players will interpolate with unrecoverable errors. with difference interface between the pc and the dac, jitter is handled differently. most usb connections are quite rubbish. and this includes all from our dear mainland as far as i know. there are only a handful of usb connections are good. firewire is usually good.
