May I suggest an itinerary : First go to Wong Chee Kee for wun ton noodle or squid noodle, then to Sang Kee on Mercer Street for fish congee, back to Gough Street for beef flank or beef macaroni, then up Elgin Street for tiramisu in Fat Angelo. By then it's about time for dinner at Kuen Kee at Gage Street. You can forget the egg tart on Lyndurst Terrace although you are now very close. |

I like Wong Chee Kee better than Mak Un. For 九記, only go for the beef flank, the noodles and curry sauce are crap. If you want beef flank noodles, there is one at the end of Thompson Street just opposite Tai Yau shopping Center which is very good. Alternatively you can come to Yuen Long, Gingers likes the one near my office. Kuen Kee on Gage Street is good at Cantonese home made dishes, it used to be at the dead end of Hollywood Road where you can spot more Rolls, Bentleys, Ferraris etc. than Yuen Kee on Centre Street. |
