Their performance were outstanding in every sense, intimate style, delicate touch, refined phrasing and harmonius collaboration between the two. If you are a fan of Franscatti, then you cannot afford to miss this. |

My TT not working right now, my memories tells EMI/Barzin, Milstein taking the lead and more passionated, while Abbado/DG playing in harmony, orchestra and soloist in same status and height, more supportive backing up by VPO. |

Richter did record Rach2 with Sanderling & the Leningrad Philharmonic (Feb 1959). My messages on 07-08-24 21:06 and 07-08-31 19:54 refer. Erictang in his message on 07-09-01 01:34 also mentioned this release. |
