| [#1] Package for Cary, CPA1 + CAA1 Dear all chings, I just read the promo from the magazine and knowing that there is a package for CARY Audio for both preamp + poweramp of CPA1 + CAA1 just cost $13xxx.00, it seems a very good price. Any brothers tried before and I have a question when I read the spec. in the Cary wed site and saw the photos of Power Amp, I can hardly find the transformer, it seems nothing there, how can they do that or the one which is really small in the middle is the transformer? Please give some advice whether it can be considered or not as I have some interest and want to buy it. Thanks. |

(除左Jeff Rowland) They can deisgned to high-output audio power but the dumping factor always limited by it's power supply. The forte of class D designed is good Freq. response and low distortion(ex. 定位好). |

Everyday is changing, from the manual, it said that it needs at least 100 hrs continuous runing for having the good performance, so still need at least a week to go. At the beginning, I use a buffer to make it more warm, but after two days running, I have taken it out, it sounds better for itself alone. Any Ching have comments about that amp. With that price, I would say it is quite a good deal. |

| [#11] Package for Cary, CPA1 + CAA1 I have bought the pre-amp only....at this price ($7000), I cannot help saying that it's performance is really nice.... Not much coloration on its own....but doing the right job as a pre-amp (i.e. enhancing the characteristics of the source) I have also heard that the power amp sounds also very good.....clean and powerful. The power amp share the same ICEPower module as Jeff Rowland 102s..... highly recommend |

| [#14] Package for Cary, CPA1 + CAA1 i'm using the combo with 2 caa1 for bi-amping. the sound is clean and fast but i would not say cold. the high damping factor give good control over my power hunger speakers. my music preference are mixed including pop, jazz, vocal, harmonica, some classical as well as rock so a system without strong character actually suit me well. one point to note is that these gears are very sensitive to power. i swapped the power cords (mas and vdh ms) between the pre and the power for lower and there is an obvious change in sound already. i also agree that they need time to run-in as i feel the soundstage becoming wider after several days of listening. overall, i would say it is money well spent. ttl, using balanced connection between pre-power will give you a much more quiet background. as i have background noice problem with non-balanced connection, i basically have no option. i however would say you should try and see the difference as using balanced connection in a fully balanced design (as i was told by the agent) means less conversion and theoretically means more precision. p.s. i also want to thank mr chui (of the agent) who help me solving the background noise problem! |

I am now very satisfied the performance of the set, the price of the set is a very very good price. It is my first time usage of balance cable, but the performance is outstanding, just wonder, if I use better cable, will it be even much better? Anyway, will keep an eye to look for good balance cable. |

| [#20] Package for Cary, CPA1 + CAA1 i'm also using cheap sommer cable but i'm satisfy with the sound. imo, more expensive the cable the stronger its own characters. only when you like such characters you will say the sound is better. moreover, i just change the cd to pre to balanced connection as well and the sound is even better in a complete balanced set up. |
