The display unit was priced $43,800 during sales before New Year. Anybody knows the price for a pair of new Fact 8 ? Can I find it in the 2nd hand market? Thanks.

I think fact 8 can give a very big and vivid sound stage and excellent in listening jazz. For a very dynamic music such as rock, drum and orchestra, it surpasses 804 diamond by many streets by revealing a vivid and passionate sound stage.

However, 804 diamond gives a lazy and non-passionate sound stage and a little bit blur sound though it uses diamond tweeter. You can test 804 diamond by listening to music such as fanfare for common man.

On the whole, both the high and bass freq of fact8 wins 804 diamond. But I'm afraid that the 2nd hand price of PMC is much lower than B&W and brand new fact is a little bit over-priced in HK as it sells at 4,200 gbp in UK.

pmc speakers sound good ,but it is over pricing......
just take a look the parts & the unit they use ,not much change compare to the old model, only the pricing.

anyone remember that old tdl speaker from the uk?
same old design ...

Personally I would prefer the sound quality of PMC to B & W anytime, they give you a very grand and elegant sound stage with sweet clear vocal tone; but I agree that the new PMC is overpriced in HK by the agent.

To me, overprice doesn't mean price is reasonable.

I mean the price in Hk should be same as price of such product in other countries. For PMC, if the price in UK retailer is 4,200 gbp, how can it charge 58K in HK?

I think most hi-gear like Goldmund and Burmester are rocket high price for high model but its price is reasonable given its sound quality.

According to my 16 years hi-fi expereince, no cheap stuff can win high price goods for most famous brand though you have to pay ten times more for small improvement of sound quality.

Soundcare spike (c/w disc)

high c/p ratio (few hundred dollars will get better focus & bass control)

1) It is quite colourless spikes (strengthen the sound only), so I like it very much.

2) Spike (with screw) & disc are sticked together as a whole ... speakers will not be knocked down even u move them.
