You could consider Acoustic Solid Wood Black including a modified rega RB300 and a Denon MC/Ortofon MM cartridge. This combo costs less than $15,000. Linn LP 12 requires frequent adjustment not too good for inexperienced user. RB300 is relatively easy to set up and this turntable looks good with piano black finish. See the picture of Mr Yan's left hand side

添置斜對面藍色唐樓

其實LP 盤最重要是一頭二臀三盤身

Pro jet是炭fibre 臂來呀!!

我用過solid acoustic paino black 同 LP12, 我會選LP12, LP12聽古典完全ko SA, 調校真的不難, 唔係傳聞中咁難, 全心推薦

謝謝各位, 放假去看下solid acoustic paino black ,好像好靚, lp12又好像好正,小弟正正只聽古典及歌劇.... 黑膠真係又愛又恨, 不同設計,不同設備又會有不同音質, 還難過玩tube, 不過其實也是樂趣

Actually I am also interested to buy this Acoustic Solid Wood Black turntable as I am now using Rega's Planar 3 and Elys MM cartridge. To me the Rega sounds quite dynamic when I listen to pop LPs but playing classical music it sounds less refine. I am not an expert in turntable and always bewildered by the relationship between cartridge, tonearm, phono pre amp......

As U mentioned that the Acoustic Solid Wood Black underperformed the LP12 in playing classical LPs, so you mean it is more suitable for jazz and pop music? Could it sounds better by using better MC cartridge, changing the LP mat, adding record clamp, upgrade phono stage...... Cos it really looks good! Heard of many -ve on the setting of the LP12, my hands are not too skilful to set turntables!

Initially I am interested in the Scheu Diamond Black with an RB300 and a Benz Micro MC cartridge but the price is almost 2* of the Acoustic Solid Wood Black.

In fact, I will be more than happy to own the J C Verdier La Nouvelle Verdier which costs $60,000 with an SME arm and a Benz Micro MC cartridge from the local dealer.

LP12同paino black, 我是用一样的唱头同phono, 我覺得SA問題在当時跟盤的唱臂好唔掂, 還有就係它的盤座, 看上去很厚, 實際非常單薄和輕, 如買MPX那款會比較好, 硬盤係用重量去化震, 基座的重量也是重要的. SA出來的聲音很浮, 一般pop還可以, 一出古典即死, 出唔到個stage. 這些是我個人用家意見, 可能問題在我的技術不在盤.

Thx for your advice,基座的重量也是重要的, that's why the Verdier platter has a weight of 12kg! A quote of the Nouvelle Platine from Taiwan's dealer and the construction of the bearing:

12Kg 重的轉盤( Platter )由高等級不鏽鋼車製而成，浮動於特殊的油浮軸承上；轉盤內軸( Spindle )，使用另外的金屬製成，藉以與不鏽鋼轉盤( Platter )形成阻尼介面，使得此盤有著極低的唱片表面噪音，與寧靜的音樂背景。

May be I should save more $$$$$$$ to go for this ultimate turntable instead!
