EVERYBODY ! 想換SPEAKER , 250-300 SQ.FT AREA , SPEAKER 要近後牆放約 1 尺。家中有超級頑皮仔，不能放出點，之前SPEAKER 就是此子摧毀的....... 多年前聽過MFS 覺得配到既有SET-UP. 音樂感平均，高音通透..bass 適中 speaker. 最怕booming effect . 香港代理沒貨，不能聽真些。想各方好友給些 PROFESSIONAL 意見。 THANK YOU ! 我不是超級HIFI 友，一套機聽5-8 年，但對聽歌有要求，首選聽viola / jazz songs 優美,自然,動聽，不喜太重味機種。又不知市況，想請各位幫忙找近BUDGET / 價錢跟音色表現成正比機種。若可以的話，會換CD 機TIN .... SET UP CD-PLAYER ---denon--AFTER 8 YEAR almost dead , SERCH THE NEW ONE BUDGET : 20K TO 40K ----PLS ADV ALL CMTS MATCH MY SET-UP. tks for yr suggestion , will check. are u owner of mfs ? and i check the hk dealer found that around 46k speaker + stand 7.5k only littie bit over bedget . since hk show room no stock now. i can't hearing the sound to made the decision . the selling price is good performance as selling price. if in this level , may be i will change my mind to upgrade the bedget into 60-80k to buy the higher range speaker. like "dynaaudio" or "mbl-126" .

for cd players u can also consider Naim's.they go well with Neat speakers. try audition one if u visit the dealer. i have been using Naim cd players for almost 10 years. they are very "musical". my upgrade path for Naim cdp is:

CD5+FLATCAP＞CDX2＞add XPS＞CDS3＞replace XPS with 555PS

give it a try. u will be delighted.

I'm not owner of Neat Acoustics but I listened to their speakers for many years at the old dealer's showroom in Central. My friend is using the Neat MFS driven by Gryphon, it sounds fast and vivid and woould not lack of bass.

On CDP, if you don't mind some ex demo, U could check out a demo unit of Symphonic Line Vibrato CDP from Germany now available at 6/F of Yau Shing Bldg. The CDP sounds warm and musical, the price should be reduced to $20,000 something. It also has no button cos everything is controlled by the handset, no need to worry about yur son's attack!

tks for yr kindly adv. will check on hk dealer .and seem hk is few hifi friends use this neat speaker. and compare with dynaudio,c-1 . this brand name speaker is much more user in hk.

when made the decision ,will shareing the photo with u. tks again.

Well, many people will consider resell value as one of the major factors. So U will see many using B & W, Dyna, PMC, SF, Proac, ELAC..... Of course these speakers have their own attributes. But at the end of the day, U R the end user, so trust your ears and hope that U could buy a speaker suit your ears.

I'm using MF7, I match it with whole Naim set, it really work well with my system, I belive MFS is also a very good bookself speaker, that' s why you won't see many of them on second hand market, coz all user are really love it, just live the Alfa Romea driver.

performance ? pls get some adv . listening area
around 250-300sq.ft . i think max mf-5 or mfs. but must be nearer the back wall around feet to set. b/cos, i have the bb-boy's and killed my previous speaker ......

Hi, I think you better get MF5, coz if you have bb, bookself speaker can be very easy to be push down by them, and also if you have 250 sq feet you should play with floor stand.

b/cos mf-5 also no stock in hk show room now. just have one mf-9 only. would u mind to shareing yr system. that's why i'm hard to made the decision between neat and dynaudio c-1 . naim is the neat fty standard testing system , so, i believe u hearing the good music.

For matching with NAIMs, could also consider Kudos speaker, designer is the ex partner Derek Gilligan from Neat Acoustics. Price is also more affordable, you could find it at 16/F Pak Yue Bldg MK but there is only limited amps to test the speaker.
