| [#163] 呢度有無pipe友 yeah I liked it a lot, the wood quality is obviously better than Peterson's, I got it off the evil bay for a small sum, and now I know why its cheaper than usual, coz its Group 1, very small, when I saw it I bought it immediately without doing much research, from the pic, I can't tell its so small and I didn't bother reading the measurements either. actually its good for quick puffs. just that it seems to get very hot, maybe I didn't pack it properly yesterday. is it true that small bowl is good for smoking flake tobacco? |

| [#165] 呢度有無pipe友 Alfred Dunhill says in his book "The Gentle Art of Smoking" that small pipes are best for thin cut tobacco. Modern pipe smokers think that Virginia flakes taste best when smoked in a tall and slender pipe. The final consensus: Mixtures which contain several kinds of tobacco should be smoked in a pipe with a large diameter, so that more kinds of tobacco could be combusted simultaneously and this may improve complexity. Those plain/unblended Virginia tobacco with a high sugar content should be smoked in a pipe with a small diameter in order to reduce the rate of combustion, giving rise to a cooler smoke.
