| [#15] 暢游碟海 [2005 八月刊] aj, The most attractive ones are those from the Connoisseur Series (claimed as limited editions) which were with list prices of around US$17 (single disc) last year (normal record companies sold at HK$130 - HK$150 then with limited stock only). I think this sale is only taken in HK and Taiwan. Anyway, I have urged some friends to buy 1 or 2 sets as trial for 50s / 60s hard-bop. For anyone who would like to select 2 CDs for trial, I'd like to suggest the following 2 sets of double albums:- 'Round About Midnight at the Cafe Bohemia, Vol. 1-2 Kenny Dorham  |
