- #2 [CKKeung], 10-04-29 21:11Another discovery. Read the last paragraph:
"... Wyred4Sound's business home of Cullen Circuits used to assemble PS Audio machines before they were outsourced to the PRC..." - #3 [syklab], 10-04-29 21:44CKKeung,
Are you going to place order? The price seems to be quite reasonable. -
- #4 [CKKeung], 10-04-30 00:15No need to hurry.
Let's wait for 6moons' report next month.
BTW, Mytek's new Stereo 192 USB DAC is equally attractive & will be available soon. You may have a look of it by searching the thread 'Mytek Stereo96 DAC' here. - #5 [bc], 10-04-30 01:41Ching,

Is this board produced by Wyred4sound or upgrade card or so? I don't understand what is the point you try to make. - #11 [hercules], 10-06-21 00:05no I/V stage, all together with Power Supplies almost USD500
- #12 [syklab], 10-06-21 01:25I receive the W4s DAC-2 from US 1st week of June and have been playing with it everyday comparing to my 83SE Nuforce edition.
DAC-2 handles the high with more detail, punch is good and quite musical.
My config is:
OPPO83SE NF coax->coax2
PC USB -> USB
Optial TV -> toslnk
pre- JR Cupri
AMP- Model 2
AMP- golden tube 6x6l6GC
PC is a ASUS duecore 2.0GHZ 2GM ram runing XP-Pro
I feel the PC USB sound slightly better then coax from oppo.
I am experiencing some problem and try to get it fix. - #13 [CKL2], 10-06-21 10:43US$500 for this high end DIY DAC is quite acceptable.

- #18 [hercules], 10-06-21 12:50I also ordered Buffalo II from twistedpear, but for general use, BII not the best for money, BII good for DIYer to have maximium flexible to build his own custom DAC, the digital board just tackled most of the trouble in digital circuit and SMD chip. BII you also have to wait long time for order and delivery too.
W4S have proper casing, connections, power supply, display and control, it's all missing in BII, for causal user, w4s gives best value.

We can buy the casing & transformer locally to save the cost. After I looked into the naked photo of Wyred4Sound DAC2, it seems that Buffalo II is with better components and layout. - #20 [CKL2], 10-06-21 14:54Hi hercules,
You might be the first user of Buffalo II in HK. Please tell us your report and many people are interested. - 下一頁 (1 of 63)
