| [#23494] Leak Club for Leakies or Leak user Is Toyxxx Corxxxx a better car than Merxxxx C2xx? I have owned these cars before. The latter is much more expensive and IMHO it is better. However, I must emphasize that I enjoyed driving either of them when owning either of them. Just like hifi and photography, one can still enjoy the hobby, no matter the gear is expensive or not. Similar to tube amps, can a Nikxx be a better SLR camera than Leixx when a very expensive lens is connected? I would say, NO, but the performance is surely better. Just my two cents |

| [#23495] Leak Club for Leakies or Leak user Heathkit W-5M is one of the best buy American vintage amplifier with KT66. In fact, it is also the best selling American KT66 amplifier in American Hi-Fi history. Personally, I feel the power and solidity of Heathkit W-5M is slightly better than Leak TL/12. However if compare the fine details、aroma、timbre及harmonic extension ...the Leak TL/12 is still far better than Heathkit W-5M to my ears. Well! There are 4 times of price difference between two gears, but sure the performance difference will not be 4 times...but difference on characteristics of sound are still exist between them. |

Did you compare them side by side? Or just based on theory, memory or even imagination? :-) Gingers, DD845 bros, Please dig out your W5M!!! My ears is aging, I could be wrong. :-) |

| [#23497] Leak Club for Leakies or Leak user Dear Ace Hing 個人感覺上Heathkit W-5M力底好像比較好，但聲底較粗一點不像Leak TL/12般細緻，好像欠缺了一點嬌美，音樂表達上較為直接和生硬一點。Leak TL/12相對在細節、韻味、音色泛音都較Heathkit W-5M好像好一點。但我並沒有把兩部機Side by side去比較，我只是在不同時間分開比較後所得出的印象，所以純是我個人的觀感。 相信感覺Leak TL/12較大力和較硬是因為Leak TL/12和Heathkit W-5M輸入靈敏度的落差所影響，前級在輸入時調節致大家音壓一致，再比較時或野i能會得出不一樣的結論。 不過我相信每個人對器材的聽感也不同，Ace兄和我對Leak TL/12的見解不同是可以理解。最近做前級問卷時也得出一個奇怪的結論，因為不同Tester所做出的聽感評分落差可以分別很大...證明每個人的聽感也是不一樣。Ace兄千萬不要誤會是自己耳朵退化，相反或閉O小弟的耳朵退化也不無關係...!(事實上小弟耳朵在萬六七週以上已聽不到多少聲音了)。 Best regards Alan |
