Can I save the media library info so that daphhile doesn't need to rescan everytime I restart my computer? There are a lot of statics noises when I play the music file during rescanning. | [#256] Daphile - Another Squeezebox Replacement Ama: in my case it seems to my ears and also a group shootout that the SB Touch has the upper hand in the sonic department. The Touch has a much more organic sound. And it also appears to be much more user friendly, almost to the point of plugNplay. This result is also achieved through a full set of iFi iGadget including iLink, iUsbpower, iPurifier, Gemini and Mercury usb cable. My pc is a fanless duo core Atom pc with ssd but its not one of the latest, so your mileage may differ if you have a better pc. Besides these factors I dont think there is much u need to optimise in the software side as Daphile is already a OS-Player in one (this part i like very much). Have fun! One thing you might explore. Some of us including myself DID HEAR CLEARLY that the router has a bad influence in sound. It was possible to link the SB Touch directly to NAS bypassing the router but this mean I lose the remote control on iPad. With Daphile it is possible to link to router directly while maintaining the remote control thru using the pc as hotspot (which is indispensible coz having this convenience is one of the moltivations why I started CAS in the first place). |

| [#257] Daphile - Another Squeezebox Replacement Hi ama333, Below from another ching from earlier conversations under this thread : 分享一個小貼士，如果你的music library好大，Daphile要scan好長時間，通過網絡更甚。於此時好像不能播歌，其實是可以的。以下是部驟。 1 - 點選 info 2 - 於底部應看到Rescanning Library, 點選旁邊的view progress. 一個新的browser窗口或框會彈出。 3 - 新窗口是Server Setting，正顯示scanning進度。 4 - 於右下角點選Apply, 這一步是將當前的scan結果儲存應用. 5 - 回去Daphile窗口點選Audio player即可以選擇播唱. I don't know why it sounds different lastnight. I am still scratching my head. LOL I have 2 ancient netbook for my 2 sound system, one can boot up as hotspot for me to gain access to daphile web interface which i can use another computer as an remote control, The other netbook couldn't. I think in my setup the daphile is not using my router? I think it is using the netbook own wireless hardware to act as hotspot, coz I don't need to set anything after booting up and the message will pop up " ready to use daphile, 192.168.128.1 hotspot only" .
