I tried many times ArchLinux + mpd, no sound. My VAMP-mpd is from steveha ching, he did all the hard work and thanks, I enjoy his fruit. Finally, VAMP-mpd is working in my system. My power amp is under capacitor replacement, no serious comparison so far. My experience with 1. NAS + SSD + LPS + Caps, 2. VAMP-mpd and 3. VAMP.
