| [#22] Garrard 401 idler wheel問題 Hand spin the platter... And disengage those idler.., run down to zero from 33 rpm.. And count how long to stop... Simple.. Better oil.. Longer... I had oil at 57 sec.. And oil at 270 sec.. Etc.. Haha Free run down test.. |

Haha U have that service book.... i done some run down test.........., without belt..without idler etc... 0w/30..5W/30....Vs 0w40 (castrol edge ) from 33.3 rpm to zero...... run longer ...30 sec..40 sec...etc.. 0w/30 Vs sewing machine...oil.......... 1000% forget about sewing machine oil 0w/30 vs 0w20 ..... not much different.. | [#40] Garrard 401 idler wheel問題 a bit about Viscosity: and oil choices... there are people around the world...shared aboout SAE30 grade is good.... @ seem safe....for long term etc.. @at room tempurature... it is much higher than 9 CTS at 100 degree..guess it may be around 60 cts.. (Viscosity) typical 0W/30...etc..5W30 @ room temp : not quite sure..but it is higher than SAE 30 etc... so if people having good exp. with SAE 30..and many of them using 0w/30..too .. without too much study..., but it is safe to assume 0W20 is ok too typically , vacuum pump oil is much thicker than SAE30... have fun and test them.... haha 最後修改時間: 2021-12-02 12:46:31 |
