| [#28] 天花版吸音物料及安裝的意見 例如有啲比較輕嘅板設計包括所使用嘅物料密度預設係預咗用喺比較細嘅空間安裝喺輕鋼架天花會吸收部份低頻，送 lab. 測試吸音系數嘅公開數據係安裝喺輕鋼架嘅測試結果，如果自己獨立黐嚟安裝測出來數據尤其喺低頻吸收部份會有明顯分別。 有啲廠商可以提供唔同安裝方法嘅測試數據供參考 (當然又未必會係送 lab. 所測出嚟嘅數據，有機會只係間廠 development 時嘅自測數據)。 |

| [#32] 天花版吸音物料及安裝的意見 Seldom visited here again. ... That's very interesting. 16 years passed. I have moved to another house. Renewed all gears. Yes, the problem is solved. My knowledge of room acoustics improved considerably. But haven't investigated further more on room acoustics knowledge since 2016/7/8. Reasons? 1. No time. I need time for other parts of life. 2. I rather treat my place as home. 3. I now can enjoy cassette tapes, records, CDs, or streaming. I think I am a qualified audiophile at best, total music lover for sure. 4. I changed to use Dutch and Dutch 8c. Excellent vertical and horizontal smooth off-axis. 5. Ceiling reflections - I dun like it even if it's smooth off-axis (close to on-axis). I installed 9 RPG diffusors. That's effective enough. 6. I know some people like livelier room. I dun. Simply personal preference. Some like room like a studio, not my cup of tea either. For this question, it's a totally personal preference. Nothing can be argued. Better say how much db you wanna reduce for ceiling reflections/side wall reflections. Otherwise communication breaks down. You -9db and think it's just lively enough for Jazz Quartet. I like -18db because I like playing Muse's music. So my apology for asking a foolish question back then. To answer simply: RPG is effective in dispersing ceiling reflections. I haven't measured though. In a very small listening room, absorption may be better if you want an overall even more quieter, close-to the studio sound experience. Purely personal. Thank you. |
