| [#21] DSL720 DVD ROM I got it done by Marc Koval in Atlanta, Georgia. He used to work for Meridian USA for decades and well known in Meridian unplugged forum. When the switching power supply died the first time, I had it fixed by local repairman. He fixed it and it died again wIthin one week. So I send it to Marc and he changed the LPS for USD1200. He also put a analog output card with balance and unbalance output for USD100. My 800 can be used as a CD player now. I took it to my friend's place and it beat his cas. I connect it to my DSP6000 and 2xSW1600 subs. I convert it as a CD player just in case I have other system in the future.  最後修改時間: 2017-12-29 10:00:44 |

| [#34] DSL720 DVD ROM Just found these info. The LPS upgrade by Russ Andrews is GBP900 with the round transformer while Mark Koval with the square transformer is USD1200. The 800 is basically a 808 with video cards( as told by Meridian technical director ) so the power supply is same. Years back I replaced/upgrade the cheap transformer inside the 562V to a Piltron one and the improvement is substantial. The DC outputs of the original 800 PSU are 5V, 12V and 15V with max 5A consumption. I guess there must be hign hand in HK who can custom made DC transformer that can supply us without punching a hole in our pocket. |
