| [#25] Dynaudio 同好會~ control?...... or we can say that's a freq. cut? sometimes the said control is just for controlling its harmonic freq...... standing wave is standing wave, it will always be there if the mentioned freq. can be reproduced by your system (b'coz of the music). although ic & pc may do the same thing, but, you need to spend a lot of $ to trial on error....also, most of them will not only work on a single freq.....and, you cannot control their effect like room accoustics works, e.g. how large the volume to be reduce, etc. But, room accoustics |

What size is your room? How do you determine which size of DAAD do you need, and where are you going to place them? 4 corners + one each on middle of the wall? or ....... you it's going to be another expensive trial & error .. : ) |

| [#28] Dynaudio 同好會~ Yes, resonance, but it's the standing wave of resonance who's affecting me. DAAD have three models: 1. largest one for >=50hz 2. mid one for >=70hz 3. smallest one for >=120hz my room has standing wave at 35hz and so as its harmonic freq. Usually, 35hz is not a problem in most of the music (even they do exist, their volume is not significant), however, the 70hz is troublesome and easy to be observed. Instead of by calculation, the most easy way to find out your room's standing wave freq. is to do a simulation test. Use your AVamp or any freq. generating software, play them and use your ear or maybe a meter to observe the volume changing on each freq., then, you will be surprised. hahaha. |
