| [#4311] Silverline及確力用家一齊分享下！ Silverline Minuet Grand 擺Show彰顯實力: Silverline Minuet Grand Audio Summa exhibited designer Alan Yun’s new Silverline Minuet Grand ($1999). The reflex design sports a 1” titanium tweeter and long-throw 5.25” mid/bass, and is 89dB sensitive. Robustly built, with oversized magnets, a rigid enclosure, big voice coils, and a brawny sound, the Minuet Grand was driven by the legendary BEL 1001 MkV amps, seated on Symposium Acoustic racks, and wired with Furutech cables. I listened to a classic Sheffield Labs recording, Jim Keltner’s Drum Record (a CD transfer), which sent the acoustic curtain behind the rear-ported speakers billowing like a mainsail. The Silverline exhibited shut-my-mouth dynamics, timbre, and texture; Keltner’s kickdrum figures were tight and the cymbals airy. During an organ transcription of Pictures at an Exhibition, I thought I’d need a crash helmet, given the demo’s Evel Knievel output levels. The Minuet Supreme Plus monitors serve up a delicate, refined, beautifully focused, and finely resolved sound that makes them sound far more expensive than they actually are. The Sonatina Mk IVs, in turn, find the elusive sweet spot between sonic sophistication and refinement on the one hand as balanced against un uncanny ability to handle robust dynamic swings with real power and swagger. The Sonatina Mk IVs, I felt, would make terrific speakers for those who use one audio system both for purist audio applications and for demanding home theater applications.  |

| [#4321] Silverline及確力用家一齊分享下！ 因為想用5-6萬買一套音響，小弟今天去咗聽唔少喇叭，有啲感想發表一下。 先到旺角聽新出的音響，聽咗Mcintosh, Marantz, new Sonus Fabre speaker, B&W 805D, 新天朗和其他牌子，好失望，點解而家啲新嘢渣成咁，好似電腦喇叭出聲，我要求都好低，有高中低，有分析力，有啲音場都收貨，但一蟹不如一蟹，立即轉場去深水埗聽中古喇叭。 在中古店先聽到一啲「正常」水準聲音，舊 Harberth, Sonus Faber, 都唔錯。 但最驚喜是 Silverline 的 SR17，音頻和分析力都做得好好，令我對此品牌好有好感。 |
