| [#45188] Acoustic Research AR 友 Pipa is a 4 string instrument and it is tuned to A2 D3 E3 A3, and it is a 3 octave instrument there is 5 strings pipa too standard tuning wise it starts from A2 at 110 hz Guitar - standard tuning start from E2 AT 82.41 HZ guitar octave range from 3.5 to 4 octave tonality of a string instrument is of coz related to their string material, their construction , and scale length too I could compare a Pipa to a Ukulele super fun topic for me it is hard to tell is a particular Pipa is modernized which look like a traditional Pipa but actually not , and it is a 4 strings guitar haha design wise, technical aspect wise , as lower portion of the Fret are on the body with completely different frets and body material , it makes it sound special Nowadays we have Classical Guitar with a Cutaway ...which enhance playability without affecting the tone... Wonder...does Pipa Have cutaway design ? It is about emotional expression.. No matter it is a ukelele to electic guitar.. It is not about easy or not, it require different effort level to make it sing.. And somehow personality dictates which instrument thst person choose to express his music, miles Davis could not play a.
