| [#4848] 單端胆機同好會 Both 211 and 845 are good provided that the circuit design and OPT are matched. 211 has higher plate resistance which requires higher impedance of 12K ohm of the output transformer. On the other hand, the tube is more sensitive than the 845 which requires almost half of the driving voltage. | [#4853] 單端胆機同好會 Hello 300B_123, Yes, you are right. According to the Load Line Calculator, the 211 tube can produce 27.92 Watts with distortion of 2nd:1.93 3rd:0.62 4th:0.21 THD:2.04%. | [#4857] 單端胆機同好會 High impedance and high voltage output transformer is difficult to make. It needs to stand very high voltage up to 3KV. Also, wide frequency spectrum say from 10~50KHz would be very challenging. I got the Lundahl LL1688 OPT which I tried with 211 tube. The high frequency response is only 16KHz at -3dB.
