It is first time, I see the recall with self discipline and admit the sound is not better then 4.86 or get worst. Usually every time with the new upgrade or version, they always said with big improvement. I did not find anything wrong with 4.87 personally. I hope Microsoft can do the same. |

I did increase my memory to 32G with better micro dynamic and low freq is solid and clear. It is why asking all chings to try piano solo/sonata music with low octave similar to the one below thread. |

So far I cannot find any player could match or even close to BH. It makes Jplay not important like before. The way BH rewrite the RAM and music files did a lot of improvement for playback. He is doing something similar to MYAV forum's OS. Every new version really can tell the improvement. This player is aim for sonic area. It did what we will expect without less. However, you need to be patient, since the rewrite in startup took 58 sec. Rewrite for the wave files took another 58 sec. Last night, I was listening to Diego Tosi's Ravel sonata. In before, I could not finish the 14 min track. The violin would never emote me in old session. But with 4.86-xg8 version, the music sound so amazing well and draw you into it. It make the time fly easily. VERY VERY MUSICAL. It makes me looking forward to new version daily. |

When you click the "normal" at the upper right hand corner, you can tweak the BH with different filter. There is a lot for your to choose. On default, the already choose the Blade 10 automatically. I still prefer to using Blade 10+(tuning plus for testing)filter. Another one worth to try is Blade 4 filter. Same trick to click "normal" Please note, please close the BH every time when you start the new album or choice new song. If you would like to go for server configuration, you better have the machine running Audiophile Optimizer. http://www.highend-audiopc.com/audiophile-optimizer. It is specially for audiophile application under server circumstance with 2012 R2. I am too lazy to go that route. Did your try the 8.46gx ? It is another advancement. Can you read Japanese ? This is my first time to use BHQ, still need some time to explore. But the sound is really outstanding already at the first place. Especially when you active "black screen" on BHQ. I was playing FLAC, WAVE, DSD files. I only got 8GB ram, if BHQ is that good, I may need to buy a IBM server to use for playing BHQ with ECC 32GB ram with some Xeon CPU later on. I am using optical fiber lan card and fiber switches to connect the music server. Daphile is well organize all your music by folder or name, and it is really stable, I even run it on my 8 years old Q6600 quad core CPU, 8GB RAM, 64G Toshiba SSD, Dual boot with Daphile and Win 8. Playing DSD, FLAC, WAV, the sound is really solid and open.
